Fiercely independent

Our clients don’t only need expert advice. They need to know that this advice has not been influenced by any other vendor or supplier. Africa Analysis is completely privately owned, with no outside investors or vested interests, and we rigorously maintain our objectivity.

The power of intellectual capital

One of the things that sets Africa Analysis apart is that all of our analysts and consultants are established experts in the field of communications and technology. They have spent years developing their expertise, but we don’t stop there. We actively strive to renew and expand our intellectual capital so that we can continuously increase the value we add to our clients’ businesses. The “lightbulb moments” of strategy often come when we are able to integrate our own knowledge with that of our clients to generate new insights and learnings.

We’re not the only ones who think our analysts are leading industry experts. The fact that they are frequently asked to provide media comment and to speak at conferences means that other people think so too.

What sets Africa Analysis apart

We have built our business engine on five key value cogs which allow us to deliver a compelling value proposition. We call them The Big Five of strategic market analysis.

We specialise in emerging markets

We’re one of very few market analysis companies with experience in the largely untapped African and east European markets. Bringing our African and developing market experiences to the boardroom has been core to our ability to add real value to our clients’ strategies.

We’ve done market due diligence studies in Kenya and telecoms wholesale operator business cases in eastern Europe. We’ve developed a pan-African mobile segmentation strategy for five countries and provided key bid assistance for South Africa’s second network operator (SNO) process.

The reason we’ve been able to do this is our reach. With permanent offices in South Africa and Nigeria, our capability extends across the continent, allowing us to bring Africa to the boardroom. In Europe, we have established relationships with key business partners, which gives us access to the latest trends and developments in those markets.

All of our analysts and consultants spend a fair share of their time traveling to African countries on projects and actively keep abreast of developments in the African ICT markets. Collectively, our team has undertaken projects in 50 of the 54 African countries.
